PUMA me this, PUMA me that, who is afraid of the big black cat?

Obama is.

I am very optimistic about McCain's chances. Elections are won by heart and this group of extraordinary people have the capacity to change everything.

I don't know their numbers, their influence or their reach - but I do know this. If one has the right state of mind, the willingness to persevere in the face of defeat - you are doing allright.

I mentioned in an earlier posting about Hillbuzz, seems like everywhere I go on the blogosphere I hear something about PUMAS. What a fitting name too - Party Unity My Ass - or more precisely, stealthy hunters of the night pouncing on the unsuspecting prey. This time the prey will be the legions of brainwashed Obama supporters.

For the firt time in a month I am starting to imagine what my reaction would be on Nov 5th (assuming they will have the results) when the headlines read "McCain defeats The Messiah". Oooh weee, I can taste it!

There are three simple factors as to why I believe this is plausible.
1) Angry Obamacolytes denouncing PUMAs and accusing them of being McCain plants.
2) PUMAs from the ground reporting unusual behavior in Democrat bastions
3) Never mess with the scorn of a woman.

Any PUMAs out there, make yourself heard.

    Knew about PUMA the first time. It sounds like very teenagery expression. It doesn't appeal to my heart,I'm too old. But all people no matter of what age old feel and think similarly.
    We love USA as the best country in the world, we do not want to convert it into any kind of socialism, we do not want the Supreme Court to establish a redistribution of even on 2001, but did not do it himself so far, having millions and millions of dollars flooding into his campaign from untraceable donors. The USA as it is now is the best country, it's not a paradise, but what country is? We live in a real world that's not easy, and nevertheless numerous and numerous people around the world are dreaming to be here.
    For people like us there is one choice to be united with one wish and common fear.

    old cow - I figured out who you are. I have heard many good things about you, let me say I am very VERY impressed with your logic, expression and thought process.

    PUMA may sound childish, but people have a desire to congregate under a common belief. If this is what it takes, then so be it.

    Dear Arkady, thanks for such a flattering note, I feel we are at the last fronteer, I spoke today with the people in front of the Planned Parenthood place, I wouldn't say I'm 100% with them on this particular matter, but in case of comming election they feel and think exactly like us, they are not recent immigrants, but old Americans. Let's hope.

What is wrong with this country?

I was browsing the latest IBD poll and it finally struck me. I had this idea brewing for the past few weeks now and this particular poll hit a nerve. What jumped out was the age group and who they are likely voting for. Obama / McCain 18-24: 74% 21% The rest of the age groups are more or less even with ages 65+ leaning more for McCain. Those folks should probably avoid leaning - hazardous to their health. Now, if you are a member of this group and are part of the 74% you are probably feeling good about yourself. If you are in the 21% then you are probably used to feeling desperate and angry that your peers ostracize you as if you were the next coming of the bubonic plague. But this number is very telling. 401k Takeover Proposal. IRAs in danger?

Just read a piece that made my blood boil. The story is from Carolina Journal, but I will paste the first paragraph below. Even if you currently do not have a 401k, this is the most dangerous proposal I have ever heard. The only similar example I can think of, would be the gold seizure under FDR. If this proposal becomes legitimate, you MUST write to your local representative, congressman, senator, etc. This will be absolutely crippling to our economy as investors will stage a mass exodus out of the market.
