Oama and his wife flew to Copenhagen, Denmark to convince the International Olympic Committee in choosing Chicago as the 2016 site of the Olympic Games. Instead, Obama was served on a platter and Chicago rejected in the first round with such force that it literally knocked the wind out of the windy city. For what it's worth, I do feel bad for all the Chicago residents who poured time and money into this project and wanted so badly to host the Olympic games. 100 million dollars is a hefty price to pay for such a profound rejection. So why did the IOC reject Chicago? David Letterman is an extremely biased and annoying individual. His commentary regarding Sarah Palin and her family was out of line and despicable , a demonstration of his own moral insecurities and sexual perversion. Apparently David has been extorted for 2 million dollars because he at some point had an affair with employees of the show. According to other sources, this affair happened about six years ago prior to him getting married. His biggest crime in that case was to have cheated on his girlfriend, unpleasant for the girlfriend perhaps, but something not even worth mentioning on national television. This appears by all accounts to have been blown way out of proportion and one has to feel sympathy for this guy who experienced blackmail, ultimatums and extortion and only because he cheated on his then girlfriend. There could very well be far more to the story than David lets on, he may have used an opportunity to spill some of the beans to his audience and shift the focus
