The scourge of Islam

I have a link for you from Atlas Shrugs. It is basically a parade of orthodox muslims parading down Madison Ave. What is of particular interest is that they decided to perform a prayer in the middle of the street...IN NEW YORK!?

This same country that prohibits and bans the usage and showcasing of a Cristmas tree is allowing muslims to turn one of our main cities into a public mosque?

Is it just me or am I seeing a strange double standard? What if Orthodox jews decided to hold a prayer in the middle of times square? Well, see, they would not - because it would look idiotic, but I imagine there would be a massive outcry.

Now at this point, you are wondering - well wait a second, who ultimately cares? Well, Islam has one objective. TO SPREAD. Just like Christianity was once forcefully spread by the sword more than 700 years ago, Islam is doing the exact same thing. Of particular interest is the following:

1) Most are ardent Obama supporters
2) There was violence
3) A video is embedded showing a crazed muslim assaulting a jewish lady.

    It is a strange double standard. You think they would be against Islam. Islam is against gay rights, and opposes liberals on most issues. I think this is a classic case of an enemy of my enemy is my friend.

    I am curious why I am not able to find any news media reports and or coverage for this parade. Do they believe Americans do not have a right to know what is going on in the streets of NY?

    Perhaps the media has not dubbed this story as important. Perhaps if they do show it, they might get angry emails/calls from Muslims.

    All sorts of reasons. Either way, it is a very scary development.

What is wrong with this country?

I was browsing the latest IBD poll and it finally struck me. I had this idea brewing for the past few weeks now and this particular poll hit a nerve. What jumped out was the age group and who they are likely voting for. Obama / McCain 18-24: 74% 21% The rest of the age groups are more or less even with ages 65+ leaning more for McCain. Those folks should probably avoid leaning - hazardous to their health. Now, if you are a member of this group and are part of the 74% you are probably feeling good about yourself. If you are in the 21% then you are probably used to feeling desperate and angry that your peers ostracize you as if you were the next coming of the bubonic plague. But this number is very telling. 401k Takeover Proposal. IRAs in danger?

Just read a piece that made my blood boil. The story is from Carolina Journal, but I will paste the first paragraph below. Even if you currently do not have a 401k, this is the most dangerous proposal I have ever heard. The only similar example I can think of, would be the gold seizure under FDR. If this proposal becomes legitimate, you MUST write to your local representative, congressman, senator, etc. This will be absolutely crippling to our economy as investors will stage a mass exodus out of the market. If you want a demonstration of this in action, look at Argentina. They just did something very similar.
