Primary Tuesday 2010! Delaware, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Today is important insofar as it will serve as a pulse on where the nation is heading.  Some Tea Party favorites are poised to perform much better than polls suggested even as recently as a few weeks ago.  The following races are fascinating:

NH Senate:  Despite Palin's endorsement of Kelly Ayotte the more attractive and fiscally responsible choice is clearly Ovide Lamontagne.  Frankly it is getting tiring to see Palin dominate the "tea party" landscape because Palin does not represent any Tea Party of mine.  Keep your social conservatism to yourself.

Delaware Senate:  This one I wrote about earlier and despite Mike Castle being a typical RINO moderate Republican does not make it acceptable to vote for him.  Regardless of how insanely blue a state is constantly sending politicians hell bent on spending money we do not have is absurd.
Christine O'Donnell defeats Mike Castle!!!  This is fantastic and simply means that even in deep blue Delaware tax/borrow/spend is losing popularity.  About time.

Massachusetts:  My home state has various races that could be of interest.

- State Auditor:  Kamal Jain is running on in the Republican primary against Mary Connaughton.  Jain has all the libertarian chops and real plans that will help us expose spending in a manner that will allow us to demand cuts in frivolous spending.
Mary Connaughton handily defeats Kamal Jain.  This is a shame as it prevents us from intelligently arguing for state cuts in a budget that has now grown over 51 Billion dollars.  Turnout for both Democrats and Republicans was heavy.  Suzanne Bump takes it for the Democrats.  This will be a competitive race come November.
- MA-4:  District of infamous Barney Frank.  Unfortunately MassGOP is running a token Republican by the name of Sean Bielat.  This is despite the fact that Earl Sholley is a SUPERIOR choice in virtually every respect, one of which is that he openly supports and endorses Question 3 - Rolling back the sales tax.
Sean Beilat defeats Earl Sholley.   Massachusetts residents put their trust in a moderate Republican to defeat Barney Frank, a district that has not experienced the recession as sharply as other areas in the country.  Not ready.
- MA-3:  District of career politician James McGovern.  This primary is chalk full of Republicans, but sifting through the mess one discovers Marty Lamb.
Still a very close race as of 10:20 pm.
Marty Lamb is now the projected winner.  We now have a challenger to the incredibly well funded and entrenched McGovern.  An individual who is committed to repealing ObamaCare and cutting spending on a federal level.
- MA-6:  District of career politician John Tierney.  Bill Hudak is squaring off against Rob McCarthy on the GOP ticket.  Both appear to be similar and concerned about mounting debt, spending and balancing the budget.  McCarthy makes a pledge to repeal ObamaCare, something Hudak does not.
Bill Hudak is ahead significantly with 50% reporting, can safely call this race.  Hudak's position on ObamaCare is unclear and further investigation on his stance will be required.

Watching all the races now and will be updating results and feeling as the night progresses.
