Federal salaries surge....again.

The hits just keep on coming.  Another example illuminating the rapid disconnect between the ruling class and the subjugated is featured in today's USA Today's article: More federal workers' pay tops $150,000.

This is the second year in a row we are learning that the gap is widening between private and public pay, but the rate of increase is alarming, worse yet Obama has proposed to give a 1.4% increase across the board to 2.1 Million employees.  This becomes particularly difficult to digest considering that private wages are actually falling and real unemployment is somewhere between 'high' and 'way too damn high'.

As always the entrenched liberals of Congress provide their wisdom:

Sen. Ted Kaufman, D-Del., says a pay freeze would unfairly scapegoat federal workers without addressing real budget problems.
No words, especially when you consider the following:
•Pay. The average federal salary has grown 33% faster than inflation since 2000. USA TODAY reported in March that the federal government pays an average of 20% more than private firms for comparable occupations. The analysis did not consider differences in experience and education.
•Total compensation. Federal compensation has grown 36.9% since 2000 after adjusting for inflation, compared with 8.8% for private workers.
Federal civil servants earned average pay and benefits of $123,049 in 2009 while private workers made $61,051 in total compensation, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The data are the latest available.
The federal compensation advantage has grown from $30,415 in 2000 to $61,998 last year.
Then there is the disturbing trend in sheer numbers.

 TOP PAY
The number of federal workers earning more than $150,000 has soared in the last five years.

Look at how many people are making above 150k and observe the growth in just the past 5 years.  It is simply breathtaking.

Not too bring up and old tired cliches, but my family left the Soviet Union to escape this exact kind of disparity.  Working for the State simply became the most lucrative and profitable venture and the power of confiscation allowed the central government to cement and fortify a strong elite base.  This growing army of well paid Federal employees in conjunction with sprawling unions and businesses benefiting from Federal contracts comprise an ever growing and mighty voting bloc.  A bloc that will always look out for it's best interests and will do everything in their power to grow and expand the size and scope of a strong central government.

The worst aspect of this comes from the realization that the ruling elite combined with the banking elite grow rich and prosperous on the backs of it's citizens.  When you consider this humiliating revelation and combine it with the realization that our Central Bank is purposely and secretly taxing every American for the enrichment of the banking class, it becomes quite apparent that the entire system is flawed.  As the bottom 20% or 40% spend half their paychecks on necessities for survival and millions out of work, the ruling elite is continuing to enhance their positions and standard of living.  An unspeakable injustice.
