Judd Gregg withdraws as Commerce Secretary.

Judd Gregg's announcement today that was not accepting the Commerce position was perplexing and strange. Citing a fluff reason - philosophical differences - weeks after the pick makes no sense. In order to understand how this affects people, it's best to put ourselves in their shoes. This is the official statement "Senator Gregg reached out to the President and offered his name for Secretary of Commerce. He was very clear throughout the interviewing process that despite past disagreements about policies, he would support, embrace, and move forward with the President’s agenda. Once it became clear after his nomination that Senator Gregg was not going to be supporting some of President Obama’s key economic priorities, it became necessary for Senator Gregg and the Obama administration to part ways. We regret that he has had a change of heart". Conservatives: This is bad news for us as we were happy to see this RINO go and self-destruct as one of the three Republicans in...

Judd Gregg tapped, replaced by moderate Bonnie Newman. New Hampshire blue in the face?

In the midst of all the tax dodging and CIA prison shutdowns the Obama administration in the spirit of bi-partisanship tapped NH Senator Judd Gregg to fill the spot that Bill Richardson had to abandon. Judd Gregg worked some special deal where the NH Democrat Governor would be obligated to select a Republican to fill Gregg's vacancy. Not much is known about Bonnie Newman, but so far it appears that she is a moderate. If it were not for the unbearable squealing from the DailyKos I would think that our senate situation has worsened, but I have a feeling that anyone not sporting a hammer and sickle would feel the wrath from the folks over at the daily kos . While it is not a surprise that the GOP has in large part abandoned core conservative ideals, the debate over whether this country of ours is still a center-right nation continues. Even if the difference between Gregg and Newman are marginal, one is a rank and file the other a moderate, the bigger question is what happens next....

Pumas on the prowl

I started frequenting an unlikely website. Hillbuzz. This has nothing to do with an insect infested mound of earth. Hill stands for Hillary. What I am seeing more and more is a rather vocal unity between very angry Hillary supporters who feel cheated by Obama and his ACORN cronies. They are not just bitter, they are doing something about it! They are spreading the word and have correctly identified what I have been saying for a long time - Obama hates America. We may not like all of McCain's issues and policies, but he will protect this nation and look out for it's best interest. So anyway, apparently they know some people who know some people - you know how that goes right? But um, these people are professional and are very much involved in politics. They claim further that there is a lot of silent support for McCain in traditional Democrat enclaves. Some of the claims are borderline fantasy, but I will be the first to admit - there is something going on. For example...

Fascinating post at canadafreepress.com

Our neighbors to the north - for whatever reason - apparently got an insider email. One should always be skeptical about these insider emails, as they are notoriously unreliable. However, this one caught my attention only because it made sense. Essentially the individual claims that the race is extremely, EXTREMELY close. She believes that the race will come down to Colorado and New Hampshire. If that is indeed a fact, then we are talking squeeeeaker - and a very late night for me on Tuesday - a night most likely numbed by alcohol. Before you get too excited, my question (which I emailed to the author) was this. Why would anyone release this information into the public? These polls that we are being subjected to everyday by the ever-zealous MSM has us believing that the whole race is done for. Yet some Obama insider would go ahead and pull a stinker like this? I don't know...sounds strange, but judge for yourself. Here is the link: Internal Poll Story
