Colin Powell endorsing Obama?

I have to believe that a Republican of even moderate persuasion like Colin is, cannot support the most liberal senator in the United States senate. If this is NOT an issue about race, then I do not know what it is. Colin's background is military, he was for the Iraq war and while he may think that neo-cons are fucking crazies - this endorsement will be equally crazy. I am dissapointed in a man that I would have voted for if he ran for president. This country is divided and it is very sad.

Why you simply cannot vote for Obama.

I am working on a three part series that will make one final attempt at pointing out something. Obama is the worst candidate this country has ever seen. He is the most radical, has the most unclear history, inspires all the wrong people, has the most oppressive policies and is only popular because he is different. Different in all sense, particularly because he is NOT Bush. America is willing to make the biggest mistake for the sake of change. The most liberal senator in the senate. Yet after all the damage Bush has done, one of the worst financial collapses in US history and one of the weakest Republican candidates - Obama still has not sealed the deal? WHY? Because he is weak, radical and scary. If he wins (then I assume ACORN will get a raise) this country will be divided in a way it has never been before. Here is part 1:

Wealth disparity in America

I am growing tired of people blaming Bush's tax cuts on the problems we are having. First of all, if you do blame him then you have a serious gap knowledge when it comes to taxes. Instead of being a mindless drone, do some research for once. Also this is not a post about the defecit, because if Bush was a conservative he would minimize spending....guess he figured he would be the next Reagan and rammed Iraq. When taxes are eased on the wealthy, they pay more as a total percentage of taxed paid. Historically when the government taxes the wealthy, the middle class ends up picking up the slack. A notable example would be Bush Sr's tax hikes. Here is a great resource. Who really pays our taxes The left will come up with some jack-ass argument that the wealthy use fraud, but the US treasury repeatedly reports that lowering taxes on the wealthy raises increases their share. NOW, yes - they actually end up making more money. It is true and as a result of which, the gap grows b...

Hey Joe! You are the most popular plumber in America.

The way I see it. Spread the wealth around definitely sounds bad, Obama had little to say there. McCain should have used the words "socialism" and "liberal". Obama looked bad, but it could have been worse had McCain gone for the kill. Obama 0 McCain 1 Spending cuts was more of the same crap and I doubt Americans much care about the details put forth by the candidates. Obama gets the point for eloquence and for wisely bringing up Bush. Oof. Although I did enjoy "if you wanted to run against Bush, you should have run 4 years ago". cute. Why can't McCain just say "Obama you voted with your party 97% of the time". So much simpler. ugh. Obama 2 McCain 1 The question that Bob posed about nasty ads, was an absolutely perfect setup. PERFECT. After 5 minutes of useless back and forth, McCain finally went for it. Put Obama on the defensive! Excellent work John! Took some courage, but it is about freakin' time. Obama spun it as he...

Obama Mccain Final Debate

This is what I am looking for today. McCain has to attack and attack swiftly, nail Obama on every personal matter that he can come up with. No one and I mean NO ONE cares about McCain's foreign policy or taxes. It is far too late now and too many people see McCain and hear Bush. He needs to bring up Wright, Ayers, ACORN, Khalidi. He needs to bring up Obama's anti-patriotism, why every radical terrorist and nutjob supports Obama. That is what he needs to do. Liberals will cry and whine that this is a facade an attempt to avoid the issues. Earth to liberals! Those ARE the issues. Besides, the first two debates clearly demonsrated that no matter what McCain proposed it was still regarded as more of the same. SO ATTACK! Put Obama on the defensive and MAKE HIM explain to America why all his friends are one of the following: 1) domestic terrorist 2) communist 3) international terrorist 4) anti-semite 5) anti-white WHY? Do something John, god damn it, do something.

Obama and McCain on taxes

Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies... Obama is singing some very pretty tunes, he sure makes his tax plan sound delicious. Certainly the prospect of punishing the rich and rewarding everyone else taps into the heart of every socialist soul out there. Sure, he is going to grow government faster than anyone since FDR , but who cares? At least those pesky wealthy bastards get what they deserve! I mean, gosh, look at the wealth disparity. The rich are getting richer and...well...I don't know why, but apparently the poor are getting poorer. Right on. Obama accuses McCain of being more of the same. Really? Let's see. McCain is refusing to punish the rich and spread wealth. Refuses to grow the government. Refuses to believe that the only way this country can get ahead is if we spread some money around. I guess Obama is right, he is more of the same. Not sure what he means by same, but it sounds bad. I can at least get people to agree that more government is not the...

The first steps to the bailout bill

The first 250 billion is now being allocated. So far I have mixed feelings about this. I am elated that they are not buying up garbage (toxic) mortgages and instead using the money to inject the banks with liquidity. This is important as it guarantees their solvency and that banks will continue to operate. This should alleviate the credit crunch that is precisely what is grinding our economy into a halt. I assume however that this ownership is a temporary measure. We do not want our govt to dictate the bank's policies - that will be a disaster. If they plan to do the same thing as Japan did, at the very least they can learn from Japan's mistakes. Nationalizing banks must be a swift and temporary measure to provide confidence and a source of security to the ailing banks. Buying up mortages is the worst thing they can do because it just rewards bad behavior. I heard talks that some Democrats proposed refinancing loans to a new lower adjusted rate. This is horse shit and ...
