Paul Broun changes his mind on Obama the Dictator.
Yesterday I made a posting in reference to Broun's accusation of Obama looking like a dictator.
It did not take long for the rest of the spineless politicians to send Mr. Broun into a corner.
Story: Broun Apologizes
I understand this kind of fiery rhetoric may offend a lot of people and in fact it may very well be overblown. However his point is entirely valid in the sense that the people should be vigilant. We are dealing with something very unusual here and when a president-elect suggests that we need a national force that is as well armed and as well funded as the US Military, it is alarming.
Beyond the fact that the military has a budget of over 400 BILLION dollars, the necessity for such a force should raise many questions. The chain of command of this civilian force is also questionable as it would seem as of now that they will answer to the president - directly. People need to stop living in a politically correct fantasy world preaching the mantra of "it cannot happen here" because it can. Will it? That is a different question.
There are also those that compare this initiative to the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps is a waste of money and is a corrupt organization that hemorrhages tax payer money. This darling of Bill Clinton is probably too sentimental to some Washington old-timers and unfortunately will never be dismantled. Instead Obama wants to create more of these organizations despite the fact that they do not work!
If our own congress is too scared and timid to point out the obvious, then what hope does this country have?
