Jack Tapper pounces on Caterpillar story, Obama and Gibbs humiliated.

Obama's utter contradiction by Caterpillar's CEO did not get much fanfare in the MSM, but I am not particularly surprised by this lack of coverage. In case you have not seen the contradiction in terms, video is below, Obama tries to convince Caterpillar's employees that passage of the stimulus bill will be quite beneficial to them. CEO apparently disagrees. Obama looks like a complete amateur and if President Bush ever got contradicted in this fashion the press would be swarming over this like vultures over a carcass. Video also includes Karl Rove's commentary on the subject, but feel free to skip it.

At the press conference, Robert Gibbs fields questions from ABC's Jack Tapper who apparently demonstrates that journalism while badly wounded and on the brink of death is still surviving in some dark corner. Watch how Gibbs completely avoids the question leaving Jack so befuddled that only a chuckle can accurately summarize his sentiment. What is absolutely profound about all of this is that the people who are most struggling and have the best vantage point reject this stimulus bill and they are the ones benefiting from the shovel ready jobs! Stunning.
