Handgun case in Supreme Court could be important.

Boom! Hopes are fluttering among freedom loving people with today's story suggesting that the Supreme Court is willing to examine a handgun ban in Chicago. This has the potential to usher in sweeping changes for local and state banks on handguns as they pertain to the 2nd Amendment. Nothing would bring a sense of relief in the Age of Obama than our highest court settling the matter of personal firearms. This particular case will be relating to Chicago's strict handgun laws and a decision could ripple through the rest of the nation.

We need a new generation of people supporting and protecting the right of citizens to arm themselves and we can achieve this understanding via open dialog and exchange of ideas. Beyond the old adages of "guns do not kill people, people kill people" there are distinct differences between previous regimes and their views on gun control. Under Stalin and Hitler owning weaponry was very much prohibited thus allowing for ultimate coercion. Do you believe there is a correlation between liberal desires to control individual self defense and Communist/Fascist leaders? Equally important, what better deterrent to invading a country than knowledge that each citizen is armed? For those wishing to reduce the strength of our military, would you at least consider in exchange for this reduction to grant the power of defense to your fellow citizens?

Exit question: "If guns kill people, do pens misspell words?". I guess it depends on who you ask.
