Obama never lied about missile shield.

Poles are upset, conservatives are fuming and America is bewildered at the back stabbing of our European allies. Insofar as abandoning an agreement set forth by the previous administration, yes, weak move. However, in borrowing Dear Leader's favorite line

"Let's be clear..."

Obama never committed to the missile shield and America got exactly what it voted for. From this article published November 9th, 2008:

A Bush administration plan for setting up a missile shield in Poland has been a sore point with the Kremlin and has served as another dent in Russia's battered relationship with the U.S.

Obama foreign policy adviser Denis McDonough said yesterday that Obama had "a
good conversation" with Kaczynski about the American-Polish alliance but that
Obama had made no commitment on the missile shield plan.

"His position is as it was throughout the campaign: that he supports deploying a missile defense system when the technology is proved to be workable," McDonough said.

I realize that America could use a collective dose of Ritalin, but Obama always campaigned as an appeaser and in fact was ridiculed for wanting to have dialog with dictators. Surely we have not forgotten? Rolling over and playing dead for the Russians is a mistake, these are not the kind of people one wants to be appeasing, but this spineless act can have positive implications. When it comes to foreign policy decisions, it is impossible to determine what the potential fallout may be.

Food for thought. America supported Saddam in his war with Iran (because murdering dictators are better than Islamic murdering dictators), he then invaded Kuwait thinking we would not object. We objected and invaded Kuwait using Saudi Arabia as a launch pad. Turns out that using holy Islamic lands as a military base is a big "No-No" as far as Islamofascit jihadists are concerned. Feeling betrayed by Saudi Arabia, Osama and his new gang of heroes hatched a plan to retaliate by flying planes into our buildings.

Bottom line: Foreign policy decisions can be tricky.
