Opposition to ObamaCare at all time high?

In the latest Fox News poll approval has dropped to 39% opposition to ObamaCare now stands at 54% .  Fox News tends to be rather soft on the polling numbers in general showing Obama at 48/45 while Rasmussen has Obama at 46/53.

The break downs are interesting as Democrats continue with their head in sand approach while Independents have sharply broken away from most of Obama's policies.

Position on ObamaCare

Democrats:      73/17
Republicans:    10/86
Independents:  31/63

This of course should be no surprise as the direction of the debate in the Senate has taken an unexpected and strange turn.  In lieu of a public option Harry Reid has unveiled a proposal to expand Medicare by dropping the age limit from 65 to 55.  Why strange turn?  Because other than the AARP many Americans are very well aware that Medicare is a program fraught with corruption, waste and more importantly fiscal problems.  In fact after Bush's record expansion in his first term, unfunded liabilities for Medicare alone exceed that of Social Security!  Harry Reid's desire to further stress an already broken system by providing entitlements to millions of additional people is making moderates uneasy.   Senators Snowe, Lieberman and Nelson all have expressed frustration with the plan and are all critical in securing the 60 vote cloture.

To make matters worse, Joint Committee on Taxation has determined that Harry Reid's version of ObamaCare will result in significant cost increases for the middle class.  For all the talk this administration is doing regarding helping us the situation has been deteriorating.  As if not it's not bad enough that Bernanke and the bankers are robbing us blind, but now under the guide of a health care crisis Reid and company plan to sock us with higher insurance premiums.

From KeithHennesy.com the following speaks for itself.
Within this population of 68.4 million net losers, an average individual working for a small business who gets health insurance through the small group market will be worse off, even if his income is below $10K per year:

•Income of 0 – $10K: He pays $31 more (per year)
•Income of $10K – $20K: He pays $99 more.
•Income of $20K – $30K: He pays $202 more.
•Income of $30K – $40K: He pays $325 more.
•Income of $40K – $50K: He pays $377 more.
•Income of $50K – $75K: He pays $576 more.
•Income of $75K – $100K: He pays $681 more.
•Income of $100K – $200K: He pays $726 more.
If this individual works for a large employer buying insurance in the large group market, the bill helps him if his income is <$20K, and hurts him if his income is >$20K:

•Income of 0 – $10K: He pays $135 less.
•Income of $10K – $20K: He pays $67 less.
•Income of $20K – $30K: He pays $36 more.
•Income of $30K – $40K: He pays $159 more.
•Income of $40K – $50K: He pays $211 more.
•Income of $50K – $75K: He pays $410 more.
•Income of $75K – $100K: He pays $515 more.
•Income of $100K – $200K: He pays $561 more.

So to recap:  Uninsured Americans will now be dumped into Medicare or Medicaid, two programs that underpay doctors, suffer from waste and are either broke themselves or in danger of bankrupting state budgets.  Those that are already insured will be paying more and those in a small business will be hurting even more, a flat out contradiction of one of Obama's promises
Nothing will change for you if you have insurance
Paying more and getting less, sounds like a change to me.  What do you think?
