Video: Obama stumps for Martha Coakley, interrupted by hecklers.

In what appears to be an act of desperation the Democrats dispatched our president to rally the shell shocked liberals in voting for Coakley.  This is particularly perplexing because it would appear that every poll is suggesting that Brown is guaranteed to clinch the win - so what is Obama doing?  After stumping for Corzine in NJ and speaking on behalf of Deeds in VA, is he willing to further undermine his own credibility here in MA?  Now perhaps these losses are irrelevant to him or do not hurt his standing in any way, but a third loss in a row would suggest that the magical aura is beginning to wear off.  At one point virtually anything Obama touched would instantly turn into gold and Democrats gained an impressive majority riding his coat tails in 2008, but we are on the cusp of a major reversal in fortune.

While I am not rooting for a liberal to win this coming Tuesday, whether it be Coakley or Brown, a win that could further hurt Obama's credibility will be fantastic.  I find Obama's presence here to be arrogant and as the video below demonstrates he is completely out of touch with what is happening in Massachusetts or who Coakley truly is.  While there are plenty of reasons to poke fun at Brown, poking fun at his truck is childish and immature. 

The question still remains as to what the Democrats see in the internal polling or did Obama commit to coming here regardless of what the polls suggest.  It is hard to believe that he is willing to stick his neck out yet again in what appears to be an inevitable loss for the Democrats.  It is even harder to believe that from this 5 minute clip Obama gets derailed by hecklers for almost 1 minute! Ow!

What is wrong with this country?

I was browsing the latest IBD poll and it finally struck me. I had this idea brewing for the past few weeks now and this particular poll hit a nerve. What jumped out was the age group and who they are likely voting for. Obama / McCain 18-24: 74% 21% The rest of the age groups are more or less even with ages 65+ leaning more for McCain. Those folks should probably avoid leaning - hazardous to their health. Now, if you are a member of this group and are part of the 74% you are probably feeling good about yourself. If you are in the 21% then you are probably used to feeling desperate and angry that your peers ostracize you as if you were the next coming of the bubonic plague. But this number is very telling. Showing to us that a large group of freshly minted liberals, on average still in college, is in a very good position to influence these elections. 401k Takeover Proposal. IRAs in danger?

Just read a piece that made my blood boil. The story is from Carolina Journal, but I will paste the first paragraph below. Even if you currently do not have a 401k, this is the most dangerous proposal I have ever heard. The only similar example I can think of, would be the gold seizure under FDR. If this proposal becomes legitimate, you MUST write to your local representative, congressman, senator, etc. This will be absolutely crippling to our economy as investors will stage a mass exodus out of the market. If you want a demonstration of this in action, look at Argentina. They just did something very similar.
