Massachusetts will lose one Congressional seat, liberals better pay attention.
How many times has this happened to you. You are arguing with a fellow citizen about some economic or political point and as you present a litany of complaints they retort with "if you don't like it here, then move". Apparently that counts as a legitimate argument in some circles, but some fed up Americans have taken the suggestion to heart.
It is now increasingly obvious that MA's congressional delegation will drop from 10 to 9 as the once a decade census finds our population dwindling. Massachusetts joins California and New York as states likely to lose one or two seats. California's case is particularly fascinating considering that for the first time in California's history the state will not only not gain a seat, but may lose one! What is especially interesting in light of these liberal strongholds losing seats is that traditional Republican strongholds of Texas, Georgia and Arizona are gaining seats.
Is it really a wonder that a combination of condescending liberals, high state taxation combined with stifling regulation is proving to be too much to bear for people. Despite a complete deterioration of state rights and a Federal government that chases you not matter where you go, people are still voting with their feet. It would appear that they are overwhelmingly moving to states with more economic freedom.
Now even though Republican gains in the House do not necessarily mean that we stand to benefit, I won't be shedding any tears over losing any of the Congressmen from MA. Liberals continue to believe they are holier than thou and demand that we be celebrate every Government achievement regardless of how badly it functions or how unsustainable it is. Soon they will find themselves in solitude wondering why their taxes are choking them to death and companies have moved to greener pastures. No wonder they want to instill more and more power into the Federal government, to finally restrict your ability to move with your feet.
